About Me

Ashley de Kroon is an emerging photographer and artist currently completing her undergraduate degree in Visual Arts and Computer Science at the University of Victoria. She is interested in combining abstraction with technology through unconventional methods. Her practice primarily focuses on self-portraiture and nature photography.

Since 2023, Ashley has worked as a Painting Instructor for Start Me Up Music & Art where she teaches large groups of beginners through acrylic painting techniques. She also works as a Marketing and Administrative Assistant for the company.

With a background in singing and acting, Ashley also works as a Performance Assistant and Administrative and Communications Coordinator at West Coast Reach Association, a non-profit organization that celebrates diversity through the arts.

Ashley’s most recent photography exhibition is on display through the Victoria Arts Council’s Satellite Program at the Greater Victoria Public Library (Emily Carr Branch). Through the Window is a series of abstract nature photographs created by merging long exposures with fast motion and will be up until October 19th, 2026.
